Children's Budget

Moving forward, the Children’s Cabinet intends to leverage resource maps to further understand their collective spending impact and guide the development of unified funding proposals. Agency finance staff have begun identifying accounts across the ten Children’s Cabinet agencies that support children’s policies and the provision of programs and services to children, youth and families.

In the interim, the FY17 operating budgets proposed for the ten agencies represented on the Children’s Cabinet constitute approximately 69% of Governor Raimondo’s total FY17 proposed budget. The slides below outline a handful of child- and family-related proposals that will forward the Children’s Cabinet’s shared vision for children, youth and families in Rhode Island, and be closely monitored by the Cabinet moving forward.
